Dice Roller

Roll dice in the browser, from a coin-sized d2 to a d100.

Results appear here.

What the result means

Each die is its own draw. The page reads cryptographic random data, maps it onto the number of sides, and adds one so the face runs from 1 through that count. Leftover values that would not divide evenly are thrown away rather than folded into the low faces, which is what keeps the die fair. Count must be from 1 to 20, and sides must be from 2 to 100. Zero, fractions, and anything outside those bounds are errors. The result lists every face from this click and the total of those faces. Later clicks do not depend on earlier ones. Equal faces in a row can still happen. This is a browser draw, not a certified table system, and the rolls are not sent anywhere.

Questions

Are the rolls fair?

Yes, in the sense that each face has the same chance. Leftover random values are discarded instead of favouring the low numbers. A run of the same face can still happen.

Can I roll several dice?

Yes. Count is how many dice, from 1 to 20. Sides is the number of faces on each, from 2 to 100. The result lists every face and the total.

What if I ask for zero dice?

Zero dice, a one-sided die, or a count outside 1 to 20 or 2 to 100 is an error. The page does not clamp those values and pretend to roll.
