What the result means
A small library shipped with this site builds the symbol. The text is encoded as bytes at error correction level M, and the library picks a version that can hold it. The canvas is painted white, then the dark modules are filled, with a quiet zone four modules wide on every side. The size control chooses how many pixels to aim for. Modules are drawn on whole pixels so the edges stay sharp, and the bitmap may be a few pixels off that target when that keeps each module the same size. Download saves a PNG of the canvas. The text is not uploaded. Input over one thousand characters is refused instead of being cut off in silence.

Questions
What size should I use?
240 pixels is a sound default on a screen. Use 320 when the code will be printed or held further from the camera. 160 suits short text on a sharp display.
Is the text uploaded?
No. The text is not uploaded. The QR code is drawn on this page from the characters you typed.
Which error correction is used?
Level M. The library adds recovery data so a modestly damaged code can still be read, which also makes the symbol a little denser.
